As we age, the natural collagen and elastin in the skin diminishes, furthermore with the movement of the underlying tissue heading south, the structure and support of the skin is lost and deeper wrinkles and folds develop. Derma fillers can be injected into these areas to help support the skin, enhance and treat these deeper wrinkles and folds.
Normally the treatment areas for dermal filler are the lower third of the face; around the mouth, for those creases between the lead down the corner of your nose to your mouth also known as laughter lines. But dermal filler can be used anywhere on the face to enhance your beauty.
Derma filler also gives beautiful results when injected into the lips and mid-face cheeks.
In addition, dermal fillers can be used in the décolletage and when combined with dermaroller treatments, incredible results can be achieved on areas that are often affected by the ageing effects of the sun.
Victoria Thomas our V Clinics nurse uses a variety of dermal fillers depending on the treatment area to achieve each clients desired results. Each product is FDA approved and last between 3-12 months.
Juverderm®, Restylane® and Bolotero® are dermal fillers made from Hyaluronic Acid (HA). Hyaluronic acid is naturally present in our body and as we get older this store of HA diminishes, leaving the skin less supported so lines and wrinkles develop.
Radiesse® is a volumising filler comprised of Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in an aqueous gel carrier. Once injected this filler stimulates the body to produce its own natural collagen. Over time, the gel is absorbed and the body metabolises the CaHA micropheres leaving behind only your own natural collagen.
Dermatherapy uses a variety of different fillers to achieve desired results. All will be discussed at your FREE consultation.
